Oh, the signs of SPRING!!! YAY!

We just got back from a week long vacation to South Dakota (my annual trip out to spend St. Patrick's Day with my Irish brothers) to beautiful signs of spring!

I am so excited about spring now that we spent the last 2 days of vacation doing yard work, tilling flower beds, fertilizing the yard and planting seeds and flowers!

South Dakota pics can wait for a bit!

I've got three rose plants along side the house, one climbing rose and two rose bushes-can't wait to see the blooms this summer! We had roses last year late into the fall-if I remember right, they were blooming up until Thanksgiving time!

Our Bradford Pear tree in the front yard is blooming, and if you're familiar at all with Louisville, these trees are EVERYWHERE! The blooms are very pretty and I'm happy to see it doing so well after the hard winter ice storm we had!

Okay, so I realize I'm WAY behind...here's some pictures from our Crazy Ice Storm we had this winter that caused the state of Kentucky to be declared a "State of Emergency"!

So Kevin and I took a walk downtown along the Ohio River.....
stopped to see the Louisville Slugger Museum and found ourselves in the Kentucky Education Center...checking out the inside of a Dinosaur mouth!!

We had a Wonderful visit from the Beautiful Lexie!!
We spent her last night in town with a couple bottles of wine and lots of beads!!

We were both very productive with beading and catching up!
Nothing quite like spending some good quality time with one of the
Bestest of Friends!!

This time of year is crazy, crazy, crazy!

I just love the signs of Fall...the leaves changing here are Beautiful! It's a lovely reminder of the wonderful thing God has created for all of us!!

I took my aloe plant off the top of the fridge to water it. I brought it in thinking the cold temperatures at night would kill it, since I brought it from Florida where it was outside year round. I was amazed to discover 8 baby growths coming from it. So I made a trip down to the Hardware store and bought up the only three remaining pots they had left and replanted a few!!

I've always had a black thumb and am quite amazed that the aloe plant has grown as large as it has!
